The Castaways - Jules Verne

The Castaways (original in French: Les enfants du Capitaine Grant) is a novel by Jules Verne . Published in Magasin d'Education et de Recreation Hetzel of December 20, 1865 (volume 4, number 43) to December 5, 1867 (Volume 8, Number 90) and as volume three on 23 June 1868.

Ahead of its time and using the myth of the castaway, Verne describes the vision of those who suffer the loss and exposes the feelings of two young men with the absence of his father and the desperation of not seeing him again. Its structure, as Journey to the Center of the Earth , Revolves around the decryption of a document that will give rise to the trip. It is, moreover, the second novel in the trilogy made by Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and The Mysterious Island.
