Hans Ruesch (17 May 1913 - August 27, 2007) was a Swiss novelist, as well racing driver and internationally known activist against animal testing and vivisection.

spent the first 14 years of his life in Naples, where his father was a textile businessman. Ruesch was in a boarding school in Switzerland and then studied law at the University of Zurich. He left in 1932 to join the race track.
