C on the purpose of undertaking programs and projects aimed at environmental awareness training of the Honduran population, efforts to strengthen conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and environmental enhancement Conservation Institute (ICF) and the National Youth Institute (INJ), have signed inter-institutional cooperation.
By signing the agreement the INJ undertakes programs to promote protection and conservation of endemic species and ecological interest in the country through a voluntary program to identify and implement mechanisms to involve and engage Honduran youth directly in conservation and natural resource protection.
Similarly must f romote participation of young people nationwide in activities that promote the improvement of the environment of communities, in coordination with the different forest regions of the ICF.
The ICF, in turn, will ensure that compliance with laws, regulations and other provisions on forest resources, protected areas and wildlife, promote the protection, conservation, restoration and rational use of natural resources and promoting environmental education to promote sustainable development of the country.
also promote the establishment of forests after methods of natural regeneration, afforestation and reforestation, will provide technical and legal assistance is available centrally, and regional and local offices in the issue related to projects developed in the areas of interest and to promote formal, non formal applicable to all levels of education, a way to emphasize the incorporation of youth and community members in training on environmental awareness, protection and sustainable use of natural resources.
With these actions, both institutions met with the provisions of the Government of National Unity, under the Vision of Country and Nation Plan promoted by the President, Porfirio Lobo Sosa, to improve environmental conditions in our country.
