A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (original in English: A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's court ) is a literary work of American writer Mark Twain .

Written in 1889, seems to predict events that would occur 25 years later, in 1914, when the old European chivalric ideas regarding the art of war would eventually shattered by the weapons and tactics of the First World War.

Synopsis:

An American is hit off him unconscious and, when awake, Camelot is! Putting his knowledge of the future in the service of King Arthur, introduces crazy inventions that change the lives of those around medieval: Knights of the Round Table become known as "bikers" because moving on bicycles instead of horses, are created unions and holidays, unknown until then, mobile phones ... But Merlin, displaced by foreign power, they managed to preserve the medieval balance and regain its position as a leading magician in the kingdom.
